Customer Service and Orders
How fast do you process orders?
We know that in the event of a vehicle breakdown, every day means losses. Therefore, all orders for equipment available in stock, placed by 2:00 PM on business days, are shipped the same day. In the case of services (e.g., File Service), modified files are usually returned within a few hours.
Do you offer technical support after purchase?
Absolutely. We are not just sellers – we are practitioners. Every BuyEmu customer receives full after-sales support. If you encounter a problem during emulator installation or map flashing, our technical team will guide you step by step by phone or email.
Do you ship equipment internationally?
Yes, we serve international markets. Delivery cost and time depend on the selected carrier and the destination country. If you need urgent courier shipping within Europe, please contact us for an individual transport quote.
Can I return purchased electronic equipment?
According to the law, you have 14 days to return goods purchased remotely. However, please remember that this applies to devices that show no signs of installation. In the case of electronic equipment that has been physically connected to the vehicle's installation (e.g., cut wire harnesses, signs of soldering) or devices programmed to a specific VIN, return conditions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Technology and Devices
The vehicle is in Limp Mode due to an SCR error. Will power return to normal after connecting the emulator?
Yes. The main task of our emulators is to simulate a 100% functional emission reduction system. After properly connecting the device and clearing diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), the engine control unit (ECU) receives a signal that the system is operating correctly (e.g., a full AdBlue tank and correct readings from NOx sensors). As a result, the limp mode is lifted, and the engine regains full power.
Do I have to physically remove the filter from the exhaust system after installing a DPF emulator?
Absolutely yes. The DPF emulator stops the active regeneration (burning) procedure of the filter. If you leave the insert in the exhaust system, it will become completely clogged very quickly. This will lead to a drastic increase in exhaust gas pressure, which in turn can damage the turbocharger or the engine itself. After using the emulator, the filter insert must be physically emptied or replaced with a so-called downpipe.
Will the emulator interfere with the operation of other systems on the CAN bus?
No. We design our emulators to be completely "transparent" to other modules in the vehicle. The device communicates on the CAN bus only at addresses reserved for the SCR/DPF system (e.g., ACM module, NOx sensors). It does not cause conflicts with ABS, ESP, automatic transmission, or tachograph systems.
Does the installation of the emulator require interfering with the controller software (chiptuning)?
It depends on the chosen solution and vehicle model. Most of the external SCR emulators we offer are Plug & Play devices (or require a simple connection to 4 CAN communication wires), which do not require modifying the software (Flash) in the ECU.
We also offer software solutions (removing DPF/SCR from the engine map as part of the File Service), which in turn rely solely on editing the software, without the need to install physical modules. Our specialists will help you choose the best method.
How to prepare a file for the File Service (e.g., EGR deletion, chiptuning)?
For us to modify your vehicle's software, you must extract the original file from the engine controller (e.g., using KESS, KTAG, Flex, Autotuner tools). Send the extracted file (Flash / EEPROM memory read) to us along with the VIN, exact vehicle data (make, model, year, engine code), and a description of what you want us to modify. You will receive a ready, recalculated file (along with corrected checksums) from us, which you simply need to flash back into the controller.
